Originally from Still Pond, Maryland, Erica knew from a very early age that she wanted to be a part of the beauty industry and even completed her high school senior project on cosmetology. She then matriculated to North Carolina to further her education at High Point University in 2004, where her main field of interest was international business. Though attending this university was a great experience, she realized she still wanted more, and enrolled in the cosmetology program at Guilford Technical Community College and fell in love with all the wonders this field truly had to offer.

Over the next 4 years she was a stylist in Winston-Salem and sought out as much education as possible. Her eagerness to learn coupled up with her desire to succeed has allowed her to remain professional and ahead of the trends. She was sent to the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London for an intense week long hair cutting course during fashion week, has trained with AVEDA, Phyto, Paul Mitchell and Sebastion for the past several years, and is constantly gaining inspiration and knowledge from her fellow stylists. Having been with Aveda since 2008, Jay Andrews was a natural choice for her when she moved to Raleigh in 2012. Erica is excited to continue her career and further her education with Aveda and Jay Andrews.
